From the end of May and the final bell kicked off summer 2026, downtown Durham has seen a lot of changes. We have had over 20 new businesses open since May! 

  • Andia’s at Nanny Goat
    • Andia’s moved from their Can Opener location to open inside the Nanny Goat Market at Geer House. 
  • Boomerang Pilates
    • Classical reformer and mat pilates studio that’s welcoming to all bodies. 
  • Dosirak Outpost
    • A Korean convenience store featuring fun snacks, beverages, ramen, and more
  • East of Texas
    • Texas style BBQ featuring brisket, tex-mex specialties, margheritas, breakfast tacos and more. 
  • Guildhall Games
    • Specialy game and toy store. Disabled and neurodivergent (ADD/ADHD, Autism etc.) focused store. 
  • Jetset Pilates
    • Upscale pilates studio located next to the VanAllen building.
  • La Santa
    • A rebrand of La Mala. Modern Mexican food and margaritas. Bar food/drink.
  • Little Bull
    • “Little Bull serves “pocho cuisine,” a mix of Mexican roots and American influences that reflects Chef Oscar Diaz’s life as a first-generation American.
  • M Hansik
    • New from Mike Lee, M Hansik offers a modern take on traditional Korean cuisine. 
  • Montwood Cafe
    • Small specialty coffee shop in the heart of downtown. 
  • Mr. Lincoln
    • Upscale craft cocktail lounge and social spot. 
  • Red Phone Booth
    • Speakeasy cocktail lounge and cigar bar offering a wide variety of spirits and small plates. 
  • Sample Beverage Co.
    • Hndcrafted coffee, lemonades, refreshers, and specialty drinks inside Cecy’s.
  • The Burrow
    • Vintage shop offering a curated selection of affordable finds.
