Winners Announced of Downtown Durham, Inc. Holiday Window Display Competition

Durham, N.C. – Downtown Durham, Inc. (DDI) is pleased to announce the winners of the Downtown Durham Holiday Window Display Competition. Twenty-five street-level businesses participated in the competition which launched Durham’s Shop Local Week that started on Saturday, November 25^th. Voting, done by “liking” photographs of window display on DDI’s Facebook page, closed January 1^st. Winners of this competition are Rock Paper Scissors Hair Salon (first place), Empower Dance Studio (second place), and Bull City Escape (third place). Winners will receive a small award to be used for marketing and/or advertising campaigns. A huge thank you to all competitors and a special congratulations to the winners!!

In conjunction with the Holiday Window Display Competition and Shop Local Week, the Tree Lighting @CCB Plaza took place on December 2^nd. This unprecedented holiday event would not have taken place without the generous support from the City of Durham, Durham County, Austin Lawrence Partners, Duke Energy, Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mechanics and Farmers Bank, Longfellow Real Estate Partners, Durham Convention Center, The Durham Hotel, Durham Marriott City Center, and Eno Venture.
