Market on Market Application

Market on Market is a 12-month retail incubator in downtown Durham for makers, online brands, artisans, and emerging retailers ready to test and grow in a brick and mortar space.

Businesses receive a private space inside a shared Market Street location, 1:1 business coaching, tailored retail training, and built-in community support.

Rent includes utilities and a parking space. The program launches Winter 2025 and is powered by Downtown Durham, Inc., with support from Self Help and Infinity Bridges.

Criteria to apply:

• Operated your business for at least 2 years
• Have a business tax ID and a retail-based business
• Willing to be in-store (or have staff) at least 4 days/week
• Submit a completed application and financial plan

If accepted, you’ll commit to a 12-month lease, provide your own display infrastructure and POS system, obtain basic business liability and property insurance, and report monthly sales (confidential).
