Open Studio: Glass & Other

Open Studio Day Pass
Drop in and create on your own terms! Your Open Studio Day Pass gives you access to Fusion Gallery’s shared studio space from 1:00 PM–7:00 PM on your selected day. Come in anytime after 1:00 PM and stay as late as 7:00 PM.

Use our studio space and tools or bring your own project to work on—perfect for artists who don’t have a home studio or simply want dedicated time and space to make. Personal cubbies are also available to store works-in-progress between visits.

Online registration or sign-up via email is required before coming in. Drop-ins are not permitted at this time. If you’d like to come in at a time you don’t see available online, email us at info@fusionnc.com.

How Open Studio Works
Open Studio is self-guided and does not include instruction. You should already have the skills needed to safely work in your chosen medium. It’s also a great opportunity to finish projects started during a Fusion class.

Your Day Pass includes access to our shared workspace, tools, equipment, and currently available non-consumable materials. Consumable and specialty materials are charged separately based on usage.

Stained & Fused Glass
Prior stained or fused glass experience is required to use our glass tools. Taking a basics or beginner class at Fusion is recommended, but previous instruction at Carolina Stained Glass or Say It With Glass is also accepted.

• Glass, solder, foil, and frit: $35/lb
• Bringing your own stained glass? Foil and solder use: $6
• Paper stained glass patterns: Free
• Vinyl-cut patterns: $3 each
• An assortment of stained glass patterns is available for studio use
• Kiln firings are handled by Fusion staff only

Silver Clay
Prior silver clay experience is required to use silver clay tools. Taking a beginner class at Fusion is recommended before using the studio independently.

• Silver clay: $7/gram prior to firing
• Firing of your completed piece is included and will be completed at the convenience of Fusion studio staff
• Guests may not fire their own pieces without prior authorization from Fusion’s owners

Drawing & Painting
No prior class or experience is required for drawing or painting. Your Open Studio fee includes access to currently available shared drawing and painting materials.

• Online or email registration is required before arriving—no walk-ins
• Open Studio is self-guided and does not include instruction
• Some specialty tools, equipment, or processes may require prior approval or demonstrated experience
• Guests are responsible for cleaning their workspace and helping maintain a respectful shared environment
• Misuse of the space, tools, or equipment or failure to follow studio guidelines may result in removal from the studio without refund
