Fonseca

Known professionally by his surname, Fonseca, he is a nine-time Latin Grammy winner and has been nominated for the Grammy Awards three times. Since the beginning of his career, he has stood out for blending pop with rock and other influences, including vallenato and the traditional rhythms of Colombia’s Caribbean coast, striking a balance between music and his cultural roots.

His debut album, Fonseca (2003), marked the beginning of his musical journey. In 2005, with Corazón and the hit song “Te Mando Flores,” he gained international recognition. Later, with Gratitud (2008) and Ilusión (2011), he established an artistic identity built on genre-blending and relatable storytelling centered on emotions and everyday experiences.

In 2026, at 46 years old, Fonseca takes a more intimate step with Antes Que El Tiempo Se Vaya, an album that explores what matters most: time, gratitude, family, memories, and the decisions that shape our lives, all while exploring a variety of tropical genres.

As he describes it, the album is “a direct and profound call to give time the value it deserves.” It serves as a reflection of his artistic and personal journey, with each song creating its own distinct world while sharing a common purpose: to express what truly matters, Antes Que El Tiempo Se Vaya (“Before Time Runs Out”).
