The Durham Art Guild is a nonprofit member-driven visual arts organization established in 1948. For over seven decades they have supported local artists and advocated for the arts in our region.
The Durham Art Guild has a tradition of a yearly Juried Show, Member’s Show. The curate the Truist Gallery downtown on Morris Street (inside the Durham Arts Council) and the gallery in the Golden Belt complex. DAG places art in local businesses through our Art at Work program, offers an Artist-in-Residence program, and matches professional artists with students for learning experiences through a Creative Mentorship Program.
DAG is supported by memberships, the generous donations of sponsors and sustainers, and fundraising events like Swing into Spring.
