Tucked inside one of downtown Durham’s most storied landmarks, Bay 7 is a 10,000-square-foot event and performance space that wears its history on its walls, quite literally.

Century-old brick and timber steeped in American industrial history, panoramic windows, and a wraparound balcony give the space an atmosphere that’s equal parts gritty and grand.

Registered as part of a historic site and located at 324 Blackwell Street within the American Tobacco Campus.

Bay 7 is genuinely flexible. The space can be configured with a mainstage and tiered or floor seating, an upstairs gallery with a smaller performance space, and a bar and lounge making it equally suited to chamber music, theatrical productions, immersive installations, dance performances, and interdisciplinary work. Capacity ranges from 70 to 400 people depending on configuration.
