This National Black Business Month, dine, drink and shop at Black-owned businesses in downtown Durham, then send in your receipts to be entered to win a weekly drawing for a $100 SpendaBull, downtown’s e-gift card.
Week One • Aug. 1-7
Week Two • Aug. 8-14
Week Three • Aug. 15-21
Week Four • Aug. 22-31
Throughout the month of August, send us a copy of your receipt every time you visit and make a purchase at one of downtown’s Black-owned restaurants, bars and retail shops. You’ll be entered to win a $100 SpendaBull e-gift card.
You can submit one receipt per day per merchant. (So if you get a morning coffee, then eat dinner at a restaurant, then pick up a gift from a retail shop, that’s three separate receipts and three entries).
- Each entry is valid only for the week in which it is submitted. On Sunday at 12:01 a.m., all the previous week’s entries are cleared, and the submissions begin for the upcoming week.
- Winners may be required to show ID.
- DDI will verify winning receipts with the merchant.
- There is no minimum purchase amount.
- Participants must be 18 or older to win.
- SpendaBulls will be delivered via email.
- Can I enter the same receipt for different weekly drawings?
- No. Each receipt can be used for only one drawing.
- Do purchases made with a SpendaBull e-gift card count?
- Yes!
- Do online purchases count?
- Yes! Take a screenshot or send a copy of your electronic receipt.
