Claymakers has been a cornerstone for the ceramic arts in Durham for over 20 years. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we offer classes to help folks find creative expression in clay, studio assistantships to teach aspiring artists the craft of running a studio, affordable studio space for independent clay artists, and exhibition opportunities for people to share their work.
We’ve survived a pandemic and an epic relocation, and now we’re getting ready to celebrate our community, growth, and connection with a giant party. We’re committed to serving as many students as possible, so our goal is to raise funds to add a second wheel classroom to our studio. Join us for our first annual fundraiser, For the Love of Clay, on February 9th for an evening of incredible desserts, revelry, and pots galore, all in support of Claymakers!
Join us for a night full of:
-Killer desserts from local restaurants (including Ninth Street Bakery, Jack Tar, Foster’s Market, Monuts, and more) and a cash bar
-Silent auction featuring premium NC pottery, local gift cards, and more
-Raffles for clay classes and supplies
-Activities and crafts sponsored by The Scrap Exchange
Tickets start at $25 and are available at claymakers.org/for-the-love-of-clay
