Talk Like a Brewer: The Vocabulary of Hops

Do you love hoppy beers but get lost in the jargon when people start talking about lupulin and IBUs? Are you unsure about what makes an IPA a West Coast IPA or a Juicy IPA?
Join Head Brewer and Co-Owner, Chris Creech, as we delve into the lingo of hops. Whether you’re a long-time craft beer enthusiast or just starting to explore the world of craft beer, you’re welcome to join us in a conversation and tasting all about our favorite beer ingredient – hops!
Chris will lead us from hop harvesting through the different uses of hops in a brewery, with a focus on all of the vocabulary associated with hops in the craft beer industry.
The class includes one beer upon arrival, along with several samples throughout the class that we will taste and discuss together. Everyone (21+) is welcome to join, and we hope everyone will leave having learned some new beer vocabulary to impress your friends next time you’re in the taproom.
