Silent Book Club Durham – ONLINE
April 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Come read in public and mingle with new, bookish friends!
Since we can’t meet in our normal space, I will host on facebook live for anyone who wants to come. I hope you’ll join me in this digital space and dedicate an hour in our homes, but still together, to reading.
Bull City Ciderworks is doing delivery, so plan ahead, order your cider and make sure you support them! They have been so supportive of our community, let’s make sure we take care of them during this time!
Silent Book Clubs are a way to read books of your choice in public in companionable silence. Get a beverage and tackle some books on your To Be Read pile!
Second Tuesdays at Bull City Ciderworks, mingle from 6:30 – 7, read silently from 7 – 8, then wrap up and mingle further at 8PM. A food truck will be available for dinner – check the Bull City Cider page to see what truck will be there each month!
Mention you’re a member of Silent Book Club while shopping at Letters Bookshop in Durham and receive 20% off your Book Club purchases!

“We believe there’s no shame in drinking alone, especially when you have a good book for company. In fact, most of the time we’d rather be left alone with our book, thank you very much creepy guy asking what we’re reading. And, added bonus for the parents out there: your kids can’t follow you into the bar. If only you had a bouncer for your bathroom. But you don’t need alcohol to read with friends.
Silent Book Club is about community. Bring a book, bring a friend. Then read, wine, repeat.”
