Reception for Meditative Obssesive by Jeana Eve Klein & Anne Hill
February 15 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Reception for Meditative Obsessive.
Jeana Eve Klein (French Knots & More). Anne Hill (Cross-Hatchings & Sculptural Paperworks).
Over 30 of the late Anne Hill’s works are paired with over 100 works by Jeana Eve Klein. Both artists have a similar approach to making work, but were created over 30 years apart. Anne Hill, a Wake county librarian and inventive artist, died in 2008. Several of her works are in major museum collections including the NCMA.
Jeana Eve Klein is a prolific artist in her early 40’s who has exhibited internationally while winning major awards. Based in Boone, her work celebrates slow immersive processes and tactile beauty while providing sly commentary.
Jeana will be coming down from Boone for the reception, and Anne’s estate executors, Ron Jones and
Spencer Lyerly will be on hand to talk briefly about Anne’s life and her work.
Works are priced to delight in hopes of seeing these pieces find new homes.
