“thefacesblur” is the moniker of multi-disciplinary technical artist and producer/DJ Adam Graetz. Graetz has been creating mesmerizing 3D-rendered animations and VJ’ing world-class live stage visuals for over a decade. His repertoire includes supporting international acts such as Machinedrum, Mr. Carmack, Stephan Bodzin, Robert Hood and more.

He has also designed immersive lighting and visual experiences for everything from major festivals to small electronic music events in Durham, NC for over a decade. His focus on minimalism and the power of simplicity creates striking visual and lighting designs that often leave audiences in a trance.

 

Resident and co-founder of Durham-based “The Floor”, Adam’s melodic flare and underground energy makes every performance a night to remember.

Simons

 

Simons is an up-and-coming techno producer and DJ based out of Charlotte, NC. In 2021, he moved back to Charlotte after spending time in Wilmington, NC and Cologne, Germany. The artist quickly became acclimated with the city’s club culture and underground electronic music scene. With influences from artists like Dax J, Maceo Plex, Charlie Sparks and Adriatique, Connor aims to provide a unique sound that blends the boundaries between melodic and industrial techno creating a deep, driving soundscape that fills the dance floor with energy.

 

Having frequented raves in Paris, Prague, Detroit, Amsterdam, Berlin and New York, Simons has a vision to bring similar experiences to his city and surrounding area. He’s had the opportunity to play at affluent venues in Charlotte such as Bassment, Music Yard and various warehouses, and hopes to continue this upward trend in the coming years.

Lex Nell

 

A lifelong vocalist, composer and audiophile, Lex moved into the DJing sphere in 2018 after spending over a decade in the NYC art rock scene. She had a 2 year weekly residency on Brooklyn’s The Face Radio and has now brought her musical passions to her new home of NC. Lex loves exploring the zones of deep, cerebral and soulful across the sonic spectrum, including deep techno, house, UK bass, garage, minimal, breaks and beyond.
