welcome you to a night of Afro House music.
Afro House is a dance music which began in South Africa and has now spread to be a global genre with several hubs of music producers crafting gorgeous music within the genre, particularly in South Africa (of course), Germany, Brazil, France, the UK, Mexico, and the USA. The music features gorgeous, triumphant vocals, a diversity of rhythms to move to, pounding kicks to drive you deeper within the sound, and an array of instruments from all over the world that tell a story. Great to dance to and listen to. Every DJ we booked both loves and has a unique library of Afro House and is genuinely excited to share it with y’all.

There are plenty of reasons why this experience is something worth diving into, so instead of throwing too much at ya, I’ll keep it to the main features:
2 stages, both outside and inside, so you can bop around to where you feel most magnetized and inspired to be
Spaces to exist that are not on the dance floor, so you can hang out, chat, meet great folks, be coy with that person you brought that you’re into but won’t make it clear to them because by golly you’re too cool for that
Visual art to appreciate, purchase, and partake in!
The venue itself is an Ethiopian inspired and owned venue, that is also owned by the beautiful people that own and operate Goorsha, an Ethiopian restaurant on main street in Downtown Durham. This is what inspired putting this together!
