Deicide, Origin, Jungle Rot, The Absence and more
June 3 @ 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm
PRIMITIVE WAYS AND SOMMERKILL BOOKING ARE TEAMING UP AND BRINGING ANOTHER EPIC SHOW TO THE AREA.
DOORS: 6, SHOW: 6:30 (ALL AGES)
DEICIDE: For three decades, Deicide has defined Florida death metal. Crushing grooves, crunchy riffs and the unmistakable blasphemic spewing of Glen Benton are coming to Durham.
Origin : Origin was formed in 1997, before the term tech death was even part of my vocabulary. My first time seeing them was in 2002 at the dearly missed Go rehearsal studios. I remember being awed with the virtuosity and brutality. Those two things have only gotten stronger. This is our second time hosting this phenomenal band.
Jungle Rot : This American death metal band also came into being last century. An explosive live show and a whiplash inducing blend of old school thrash and death metal meet lyrics about combat, killing and killing while in combat. Shots fired!
The Absence : Formed in Florida but with a Scandinavian soul, The Absence delivers intricate melodies with crushing aggression.
Suppressive Fire : Suppressive Fire has been an important part of the Raleigh metal scene since their inception in 2012. We feel their war themed blackened thrash is a perfect appetizer for our little party.
Edge Of Humanity : Progressive blackened death metal with thoughtful lyrics from a motley bunch of miscreants starts the night off right. Featuring scene veterans from notable acts like Shadow Realm and Tash and an eclectic sound that highlights the individual members peculiarities, Edge of Humanity is one of the more unique death metal bands in the area. Do yourself a favor and get to the show early enough to catch them (and ask me about the time King Mow and I threw a jerk over a railing in Winston Salem)
