Raleigh-based pianist and musicologist Dr. Stephen Armstrong will be the featured artist in a FREE CONCERT in benefit of the music ministries at Trinity United Methodist Church, just across from City Hall in downtown Durham. Dr. Armstrong will be performing music by Scarlatti, Chopin, Hamauzu, Scriabin, and Liszt, along with one or two of his own arrangements.
Dr. Armstrong holds a PhD in music history from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s in piano performance from Michigan State University. He has played numerous concerts as a solo and collaborative artist across the United States as well as in Italy, most recently performing benefit concerts with Triangle-based musicians Kathleen Jasinskas, Charles Hyland, and Dr. Kent Foss.
Performed in the historic sanctuary of the church on Church St. Free admission; donations accepted.
