Beginning Flamenco: Fandangos (Ages 14 and up)
July 29 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
In this class, we will learn one of the basic rhythms that defines flamenco dance: fandangos, a twelve-count (two six-counts) beat which originated from partner dances in brightly colored costumes accompanied by Spanish folk songs. We will explore arm movements and marking patterns that emulate this rhythm! No shoes or hardwood floors required. This workshop is designed for new and repeat students. Choreography will differ from past workshops.
This class will take place on Zoom. Registered students will receive a link approximately 24 hours before the class.
