Altered States: New Works by Julia Harmon – CANCELED
March 20 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
We are pleased to celebrate the imaginative work of Julia Harmon with her solo exhibition, Altered States!
Julia’s creative mixed media collage experiments and captivating series of full-scale paintings, pay homage to American culture, past and present. Her source materials are often lifted from vintage magazines and books that portray feminine and masculine ideals, a concept which her work aims to turn on its head. She is particularly interested in studying the conventional roles of women as illustrated in these sources, using her artwork to challenge and subvert these notions.
Join us for the Opening Reception, March 20, 6-9pm!
This event is free and open to the public; wine + light refreshments will be served.
Exhibition runs from March 19 – April 12, 2020.
Gallery hours: Thu – Sat 12-9, and Sun 12-4.
***As an added bonus, the public is also invited to join Julia Harmon for a free collage building workshop, Sunday April 5th, from 12-3.
